Chinese Bronze Ming Dynasty Tomb Figures Pair – Antique Male and Female Mingqi Ancestor Statues with Natural Patina, 6.5” Tall

$650.00

VINTAGE. This rare pair of antique Chinese bronze statues represents a male and female ancestor figure, styled after mingqi—funerary objects traditionally buried with the deceased during the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644). Each statue is crafted from heavy bronze or similar metal with a stunning natural green and brown patina developed over centuries.

The male figure is shown standing with a beard, traditional hat, and a ritual object in hand—hallmarks of ancestor reverence and scholarly importance in ancient Chinese culture.

The female figure wears flowing robes and a courtly headdress, although she is missing the original topknot or bun at the back of her head. This detail is reflected in the price and noted in the condition below.

These statues exhibit exquisite detailing in their robes, facial features, and posture—consistent with Ming-era funerary craftsmanship. They are hollow, non-magnetic, and exhibit no strong odor, supporting their vintage authenticity.

  • Male figure: Excellent condition with intact features and rich patina

  • Female figure: Good condition; missing a topknot/bun on the back of the head (see photos), structurally sound otherwise. Museum-quality relic with age-consistent imperfection.

  • Price for the pair reflects Female figure imperfection.

SIZES: Male figure - 6.25”T x 2”W x 1.5”D; Female figure - 6.5”T x 2.5”W x1.5”D

Ships carefully packaged and fully insured. Please review photos.
